At the end of 2012 I packed up my bags and moved across the world on a whim.
A few weeks into my London adventure I’ve found a flat and some work to keep me occupied. What I haven’t done, however, is actually get out and see the city.
I accidentally stumbled upon Big Ben when I met a friend for coffee the other day, but that’s about the most “touristy” thing I’ve done so far.
So, any London experts – I’m willing to take suggestions! Let me know your favourite places, because I don’t even know where to begin!
Welcome to London – since you are asking for suggestions, my favourite places are the less touristy things… I write a blog that typically profiles at least 2 of these places a week – you can search by borough or by category. londonunveiled.com Have fun – you’ll never run out of things to do. As a start, do the street markets, particularly the less touristy ones – like Broadway Market market, Brick Lane, and to places like Spitalfields and the old Truman Brewery. It seems to be where London is really alive right now.
Thanks for the suggestions! I took a quick stroll through Broadway Merket yesterday, but a couple of people have told me to check out Spitalfields, so I’ll definitely do that soon!
